"I took Violeta’s class at Steps on Broadway in March 2024.
Her class was so good and she warmed us up well. And she taught the class with a lot of fun. Everyone was tired because it was a Sunday, but everyone enjoyed the class because of her energy."
Ms. SunMi Park (Soloist dancer ABT, Gold medalist YAGP & Moscow ballet competition)

“Violeta's class is excellent on many levels - the combinations are so well designed, that there is a clear through-line not only from the begining to end of each one, but also throughout the entire class - a priceless quality that you don't experience often outside of an academic setting. Highly attentive, with a warm, gentle personality and a wonderful sense of humor, Violeta inspires, encourages and at the same time gives very important corrections that are equally essential for the professional and the recreational dancer alike. After each class I am not only thoroughly ready for a day of rehearsals, but I also feel I gained something more as a dancer and artist. I really cannot recommend Violeta's class highly enough!”

“V’s classes are great! She is one of my favorite teachers in NYC. Her classes are thorough and well-rounded, with both intricate petit allegro and flowing combinations to let you really dance! I really appreciate V's corrections because she emphasizes the beauty of dance as the reason for technique, and hearing her reminders of the beauty in dance is very helpful and refreshing as an artist. We don't hear enough in other classes about the importance of beauty, but V's class is a breath of fresh air. : )”

"When coming back from ankle injury I took Violeta’s Pro class at Steps. I felt the environment was conducive to my recovery, and I felt that I could work productively within the constructs of the class, while modifying if I needed. The class was perfect for any professional dancer, but just as well for a pre-professional. I particularly liked the musicality!"
Ms. Megan LeCrone (Soloist dancer New York City Ballet)

“Violeta's class was the first I had the honor to attend in New York, and since then hers are my favorite classes in New York. They are pure pleasure and joy. Violeta gives technical challenges, but also a lot of dancing combinations. The small allegro she shows is very interesting for me. The way Violeta demonstrates the exercises, explains and gives corrections is amazing - she's fun, easygoing and she uses comparisons that I remember. My favorite is “when the big muscle is on vacation, the smaller ones have to work overtime.”

"For spring break my dance company set up a wonderful opportunity for us to take classes in NYC and explore what the city has to offer. A fellow dancer and I decided to take Violeta Angelova’s ballet class. I am a young dancer and I was nervous going in to the class not knowing what to expect. When the choreography was challenging she stepped in and gave me the reassurance I needed. I wanna grow in my dance career and she gave me some great advice to help me with my performance. Thank you Violeta Angelova for making this girl from Texas feel so welcomed! I would love to come take another class when I get the opportunity too! "

"Loved the class, intimidating because it was my first class in New York, but she made me feel welcomed and taught rigorously. When I didn’t get a combo she would break it down and patiently go through the each step with me until I understood. She pushed me to my limits but also made sure I was comfortable and confident in my abilities. I left class feeling accomplished and eager to comeback for more. Thank you for a great experience!"

"Violeta Angelova teaches a truly excellent class. Her barre is thoughtfully planned to prepare dancers at all skill levels for technical challenges. It moves beautifully, but at the same time manages to build alignment and technique. Her center is dancey and full of luscious movement, but still maintains focus on technical details. Her sweet personality and sense of humor shine through in her support for each person in the room. She seems to really see each student and encourage them in ways that make sense for where they are. What a joy!"

"Violeta teaches a beautiful mid-day class at Steps on Wednesdays. Her exercises flow, are well-balanced and her energy creates a welcoming atmosphere. Violeta is encouraging, yet firm, with personalised corrections about technique and artistry. Her class was just what I needed to shake off some jet-lag. I left class energised and ready for rehearsals. Her ability to cater to different types of students makes her class a great choice for amateurs, pre-professionals, and professionals alike"

"The initial reason that I personally reached out to Ms. Angelova to work with my kids, is due to her impressive background in classical ballet. ...
Her classes are meticulously planned, engaging, and tailored to the needs of each student. She has a unique ability to connect with dancers of all ages and skill levels, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. I am very pleased with her work and how greatly she has improved both of my daughters’ ballet skills. She consistently provides clear and concise explanations, helping my girls grasp complex movements. Not only does she focus on technique, but also emphasizes artistic expression. She encourages my girls to infuse their movements with emotion, musicality, and storytelling.
Whether it’s perfecting a pirouette or refining a port de bras, Ms. Violeta pays meticulous attention to details. She provides constructive feedback and encourages my girls toward continuous improvement. She creates a nurturing atmosphere, celebrates their achievements, no matter how small, and motivate my girls during challenging moments. ... "

"It’s even hard to put into words what Ms Angelova represents to me! As a teacher in class, I really admire how she is really strict in technical details but still cherish you and pushes you in the most positive way. I will never forget how she used to put on her pointe shoes for our variation class to correct us by word but also by showing how it should look like! Never in my life, even when I was starting with pointe shoes, a teacher wore it as well to really explain how the step should be done. My favorite classes with Ms. Angelova were the variation classes. It was amazing to take advices and tips with such experienced dancer, not just ballet technique wise, but little details like how to walk, how to breathe properly to arrive in the end of the variation and being able to finish it well, how to present your arms, etc. If you are already amazed by her qualities as a teacher, I tell you that as a person she is still even better. From the first class I had with her, her sweetness and charm captivated me. She is always with the brightest smile and makes the atmosphere of the hard ballet classes way smooth and pleasant. She doesn't measure efforts for her students. She is the person who is the most responsible for launching me in my professional career, which I will be forever grateful for. With her huge experience and many contacts in the dance world, she arranged many auditions for me. She is the kind of person who you will remember forever and talk about to your grandchildren and tell them how that person changed your life."

"I look forward to each class with Ms. Violeta. She is an inspiring, encouraging and enthusiastic teacher. Her passion for dance blooms from her soul. Ms. Violeta pays great attention to the foundations of technique as well as the magic of artistry. She coached me for the variation “Pharaoh’s Daughter” Act II, which then got me to YAGP Finals 2024. As this season comes to an end, I hope I can be taught by her in the future."
