Born in Bulgaria, Krasina Pavlova studied at the National School of Dance Art there and later at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, Germany.
Her professional career took her first to the Semperoper Ballet Dresden and later to the Staatsballet Berlin, where she rose though the ranks, achieving Soloist status in 2011.
At Staatsballet Berlin she's had a multitude of soloist and principal roles in a wide range of choreographic styles. Highlights include Gamzatti in Vladimir Malakhov's La Bayadere, Aurora in Nacho Duato's The Sleeping Beauty, Olga in John Cranko's Onegin and Violette Verdi's lead in Balanchine's Emeralds (pictured).
Krasina is a mother of two and an example of grace amid international success and recognition.
